Christmas Eve Checklist!

It's Christmas Eve tomorrow and the big day is almost upon us! Check through our Christmas Eve checklist to make sure you haven't missed out any vital ingredients for the perfect Christmas Day!

The Presents:
Hopefully these will be purchased, wrapped and patiently waiting below the tree. If not you’re in for a mad rush on Christmas Eve as everyone dashes out for last minute gifts! (Why not pop into Strawberry House to pick up some Gift Vouchers?)

The Food and Drink:
Your larder should be heaving with Christmas treats by now (mince pies, marzipan, cheeses, crackers, gingerbread) and all of the ingredients for that all important Christmas Dinner!

If you haven’t already done so, we recommend creating an itinerary for Christmas Dinner, so that you remember what needs to go into the oven when!

Prepare as much as possible on Christmas Eve, (cranberry sauce, stuffing, and dessert can all be prepared in advance) so that you can enjoy a relaxing Christmas morning.

Don’t forget to move the wine and bubbly into the fridge the night before so that it’s nicely chilled for Christmas Day!

The Christmas Table:
Set your Christmas table last thing at night on Christmas Eve to avoid the Christmas morning rush, or get the kids to do it for you!!

Don’t forget… crackers, napkins, candles, candle holders, wine glasses, water glasses, dishes for sauces, salt and pepper shakers. Click here to read our Christmas Table inspiration blog post.

The House:
If you have guests for Christmas Day, make sure that the bedrooms are ready well in advance, and fill the house with lovely scented candles (pop into the shop to view our selection) to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

And finally…
Don’t forget to leave a glass of sherry and a mince pie out for Santa, and a carrot for Rudolph!

Traditional Festive Christmas Table

Welcome to the second installment of our Christmas Table inspiration blogs. Today's theme is "Traditional Festive" which features rich reds, greens and golds for a traditional vintage Christmas feel!

























1.) These striking red and gold glasses will add a splash of rich colour to your Christmas table, and glisten beautifully in the candlelight

2.) Adorn your front door and welcome your guests to your home with a festive wreath. We love this gorgeous one which features beautiful roses in pinks and red with plenty of green foliage.
